      Hi Evaluation Committee,
We are almost there! Attached is a very nearly final draft of Pete and Chinwe’s report. Here is the accompanying note from Pete: “Please consider this an opportunity to ask for clarifications or a little further explanation, not an occasion to raise new issues. You’ve seen much of this document 2-3 times already, but we have deepened the material within many of the 10 recommendations, based on the discussions with Evaluation Committee, Steering Committee and Annual Meeting, and at Rick’s suggestion created a next steps section for each recommendation.

“Our sense is that this document-in-progress has already been helpful to RE-AMP, which is great. And we note that you’ve been finding additional value in the survey itself.

“So this feels like a good conclusion.

“Once we’ve heard from you…we will do final proof-reading, formatting and packaging, and add in the described attachments. Obviously, you’ll get a Word file. Is there any reason for us to produce and ship to you hard copies? (Seems un-green.)

This is Gail speaking again: I have already taken a first crack at it, and my comments are in embedded in the attached document. Please send me any additional comments by close of business on Wednesday.

One other unrelated note, I don’t think I ever mentioned to this group that the person who was chosen at random to receive the up to $2,500 in professional development funds was Susan Ode from ICLEI (which stands for something like “International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives”). She is thrilled, of course. I asked her what she would use it for, and she said most likely for some training related to behavior-based programs, especially the psychology of getting people to commit to energy efficiency. When I asked if she would be willing to share what she’s learned via the Commons or Working Group she said something like, “Oh yes, that’s the great thing about RE-AMP! Everyone is always sharing information and strategies.” Considering I couldn’t remember ever hearing of Susan Ode, I had assumed she was not all that invested in RE-AMP, so it was kind of cool to get that response from her.
