During the November Transportation working group call there was frustration expressed concerning transportation funding. It was generally felt that transportation policy advocates could do a better job of presenting transportation issues to non-transportation policy wonks. A clearer presentation of our issues could reap benefits in better funded projects. We decided to figure out how to create new energy toward transportation funding.

Steve suggested holding another call just to discuss how to better market transportation and how to create more strategic funding proposals to the SAF. It was a really good call that resulted in a plan to pull together materials to better explain how transportation projects fit into the overall scheme.  Brian Imus volunteered to put together an outline which was reviewed on the December TWG call. The final document will be a 1-2 page easy to read piece. You may view the draft outline on the TWG page.
