As the director or rural outreach, Ryan works with underserved communities in the Great Lakes region to apply for federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding to address local climate change challenges.

Conor facilitates co-creative processes between members to build capacity and effective strategy across geographies, issues, and movement spaces. They love developing the tools, relationships, and narratives that not only achieve policies for a better world, but that build the power to make that other world possible and lasting.

As researcher, Ruthie develops resources, conversations and knowledge to deepen our network’s understanding of opportunities and challenges in equitably eliminating emissions in the Midwest. She loves digging into tough questions, finding new ways to work together, and helping to support just solutions that increase the health of our communities.

Strategic Director

Gail Francis

As Strategic Director, Gail helps members go deep to address the underlying causes of our climate crisis, and directs RE-AMP’s programs. She scans the horizon for threats and opportunities, and brings our Network’s best thinking to the challenge of equitably eliminating greenhouse gas emissions in the Midwest. She holds a Master of Science in Systems Thinking and Practice, and is the founder of RE-AMP’s Systems Thinking Academy.

 

Chief Executive Officer

As RE-AMP’s Chief Executive Officer, Melissa is responsible for overseeing all programs and operations of the RE-AMP Network, and guiding the Network toward its North Star goal of equitably eliminating greenhouse gas emission in the Midwest by 2050. 

Federal Navigator

Ross Head

As a Federal Navigator, Ross works with Network members and communities in developing projects and securing funding for nature-based community investments. Ross appreciates the opportunity to support this community vibrancy work as a member of the RE-AMP team.

Administrative manager

Sage Kaplan-Goland

As Administrative Manager, Sage is responsible for supporting RE-AMP’s operations and internal needs. Sage’s work includes meeting logistics, database management, financial management, and grant administration. They are passionate about community solutions to address the climate crisis and building the tools and systems to support environmental justice work.

Federal Navigator

Kelly Overstreet

Kelly Overstreet

As a Federal Navigator, Kelly uses collaboration and strategic planning to bring increased federal resources into the Midwest, with a focus on how to increase the capacity of and support to rural, small, and underserved communities. Kelly values working on complex, “wicked” problems that cross sectors, boundaries, and silos to help disrupt the systemic inequities at the root of the climate crisis.

Vanessa supports the mission of our network by facilitating encounters that prioritize our collective wellbeing. She loves having the opportunity to invest in the knowledge and capacity that our members build together for an equitable and just climate future.

Director of Community Management

Sarah Ann Shanahan

As the Director of Community Management, Sarah is responsible for fostering a healthy ecosystem within the Network. She’s responsible for our membership services, manages our technology systems and supports meeting planning and facilitation.  She has led the development of an innovative social system map and is an Associate of the Human Systems Dynamics Institute.
