Cost of Congestion in Chicago

The Metropolitan Planning Council released a report this week about the true cost of Chicago-area congestion. It found that traffic costs the region $7.3 billion a year. Also, every hour a person sits in traffic, he or she loses about $14. That comes to about $3,000 a year. Read the MPC’s news release, or view their full report for more information.
