KidWind in North Dakota

The KidWind Project is a team of teachers, engineers and scientists who push wind energy forward through training programs. Its philosophy—“We pride ourselves on the wide range of our educational work, from helping a fifth grader troubleshoot a homemade wind turbine to working with major industry partners toward developing regional training programs that impact hundreds of teachers.”

The KidWind Project came to Minot State University Aug. 6 to inform a group of teachers about wind turbines. Check out the KFYR-TV story or watch the video. It features the Dakota Resource Council’s Ted Reinert, talking about how the project helps put kids in the mindset that there are solid careers in wind energy.
