The Apollo Alliance and the Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS) have recently collaborated on two reports that go beyond the hype of “green jobs” and answer the question of what it really takes to build green jobs programs at the state and local level. The reports focus on green-collar jobs: family-supporting, career track jobs in clean energy industries.

In this briefing, Kate Gordon from Apollo Alliance and Sarah White from COWS discuss how RE-AMP members can work with their allies in government, labor, business and community groups to tie environmental policy to strong economic and workforce programs, to ensure the Midwest can scale up to meet the needs of the clean energy economy.
