CHAMPAIGN – A Champaign-based company that is marketing a new ethanol technology has reached a partnership with an Iowa company that will help ethanol plants around the country to use the process.

Leaders of the two companies said use of the combined technologies should lower the costs of operating ethanol plants, making them more profitable.

Maize Processing Innovators, based in Champaign, announced Thursday the creation of a partnership with FCStone Carbon, LLC, based in West Des Moines, Iowa.
