Clean energy may be the perfect solution for Michigan's sometimes slumping economy. Will legislators take action? Freep.com Every Michigander has in some way experienced the unfortunate state of our economy in the past few years. However, what our leaders in Lansing have not embraced is that there is a clear solution for diversifying our economy, providing thousands of jobs, and helping curb the most dangerous impacts of global warming: energy efficiency and renewable energy. The clear message coming from businesses, labor, industry, and environmental and faith-based groups across the state has been the same for over a year now: It is time for Michigan to make a change and invest in clean energy. The question is will the Legislature listen? |
