Governor Culver traveled to Europe to research renewable energy and make applications in Iowa. Pioneer Press The manufacturing of wind turbines used to generate electricity could create hundreds - or even thousands - of jobs in Iowa during the next couple of years, Gov. Chet Culver said Tuesday. Culver made the remarks in a telephone news conference from Husum, Germany, where he is attending Europe's largest wind energy trade show. Culver said announcements could be made in the near future about two wind energy projects developing out of the European visit to promote Iowa's efforts in expanding its renewable energy industry. |
