Grassroots groups to hold Biodiesel workshop and demonstrations
Watford City, ND—McKenzie County Energies and Taxation Association (MCETA) and Dakota Resource Council’s Biofuels task force are holding a public onsite BIODIESEL presentation and demonstration on June 28, 2007 during the McKenzie County Fair in Watford City.
The event will begin at 2:00 p.m. with presentations from John Nowatzki, John Dhuyvetter and Andrew Swenson followed by actual demonstrations on oil seed screw pressing and small-scale production by Curt Rangeloff and Ron Strand, respectively.
Presenters include:
John Nowatzki, NDSU Extension Service, Fargo (Bio attached) Small-scale biodiesel processing
John Dhuyvetter, North Central Research Extension Center, Minot (Bio attached) Biodiesel byproducts for livestock
Andrew Swenson, NDSU Extension Service, Fargo (Bio attached) Biodiesel use, effects on machinery, storage and emissions.

Ron Strand, Abercrombie, ND Small-scale processing
This event will promote the use of small scale biodiesel in North Dakota and will help the farmer/rancher know the costs and what is involved when making the move to renewable fuels for their operations.
