A Nail in the Coffin for Big Stone II?

 Big Stone II supporters took a huge blow Friday when two Minnesota Administrative Law Judges made a recommendation against the Big Stone II project. The judges specifically did not support the construction of transmission lines, which would bring power from South Dakota to Minnesota. Wal-Mart Greens State Capitols

Wal-Mart announced that it will help 19 states and Puerto Rico to green their capitols. This includes Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota. Wal-Mart will hire engineers to perform energy audits that will provide recommendations to save energy, lower electricity costs and reduce pollution.  ...read more »

GM and Cellulosic Ethanol

General Motors linked up with Illinois’ renewable energy company Coskata Inc. in January to produce cellulosic ethanol. Now, with similar intentions, GM is pairing up with Massachusetts-based Mascoma Corp. The two groups will develop ethanol from wood chips, paper sludge and switch grass.  ...read more »
