Nonprofits
Nonprofit organizations become involved in RE-AMP because they believe in its collaborative model and theory of systemic change.
Members of RE-AMP work together to leverage their expertise, strategies and resources to create impacts that are greater than the sum of their parts. By participating in RE-AMP, groups better understand what they can do in the context of what other organizations in the region are doing, thus better positioning themselves to succeed. Connecting with colleagues across the region gives each RE-AMP member access to a wealth of information and intelligence about events, policies, legal strategies, data, political alignments, shared tactics, fundraising and more. RE-AMP also offers direct support to organizations by providing networking tools, media resources, and support staff for the network.
Members may participate in issue-based working groups - Clean Energy, Coal, Energy Efficiency, Global Warming Solutions, and Transportation, as well as cross-cutting groups related to federal issues, rural communities, faith and the youth climate movement. They also participate in activities across the network including coordinated fundraising, interactive webinars, in person meetings with advocates and funders, and leveraging the collective voice through regional and federal campaigns.
Nonprofit members connect with other advocates and organizations across the Midwest, and have access to the RE-AMP Media Center and other network resources, messaging and framing research along with campaign and project analysis, and a comprehensive reports database.
All RE-AMP nonprofit members agree to the big picture goal of 80% reductions in greenhouse gas emissions economy wide by 2050 and work on RE-AMP related issues in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota or Wisconsin.
